This Experience shows why UNESCO recognizes “The Traditional Mexican Cuisine” as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. It's full of scents and flavors been carried on for generations by the practicing of a protective way of living. SINCE THERE AREN'T REAL LOCAL FARMER MARKETS IN THE AREA NO TIME WASTING IN PURCHASING INGREDIENTS AS OTHERS DO; We did the preps already for you, BUT IMMERGE IN A REAL COOKING EXPERIENCE IMMEDIATELY INSTEAD. NO HOME VENUES. Since there is real cooking in this Experience everything takes place at an ample conventional rented restaurant. Chefs, Cooks and your Experience Host are involved to safeguard your safety and carefully provide a quality service Experience

All needed cooking equipment will be provided where we will be conducting the cooking lesson & all needed ingredients to preparing your Mexican Dish. Refreshments will be provided during cooking class

Gratuities

Tuesday and Friday. The great variety of cultures within Mexico creates different identities of flavors been noticed by regions. Understanding The Traditional Mexican Cuisine is understanding those region identities filled of scents and flavors. Understanding Mexico is understanding the saying “MI CASA ES TU CASA. We start with a little Introduction of The Mexican Cuisine; we first prepare you Aguas Frescas and Antojitos Mexicanos which are Fusion-Flavored food of Pre-hispanic and Spaniard influences. The Main Course is a Traditional Mexican Dish varying from time to time such as; Chiles Rellenos, Pipian or Mole Paste, Seafood Lovers will prepare a Cielo, Mar y Tierra Molcajete (volcanic rock mortar) with Octopus, Shrimps, Flank Steak & Chicken. Optional Surcharge for Red Snapper or Lobster based upon your choice. We'll also prepare side dishes to accompany our course. Traditional Cuisine is mostly based on corn & different types of chili peppers. Our Meal could be accompanied with flavored Mexican wine of selected Winery or another drink of you choice. "Cooking is a way to show our Love to those who we care much for, so why not learning tasty ways of preparing it yourselves"

Entrees of Fusion-Flavored food of Pre-hispanic influences. Hydrating Refreshments (Aguas Frescas) will be provided during The Cooking Experience

MAIN

Chile Rellenos, Pipian, Mole, Surf and Turf Molcajete, etc..

We'll prepare 3 variety of Traditional Dishes such as Chiles Rellenos, Cielo, Mar y Tierra Molcajete with Octopus, Shrimps, Flank Steak & Chicken.

Best cooking experience in Playa!

This was the best experience we have had in Playa Del Carmen! What a treat to be able to cook in a large restaurant kitchen and make more traditional recipes in this 3.5-4 hour cooking experience. This is not just guacamole, salsa, and enchiladas. We made tamales that changed my mind about tamales and I can't wait to recreated them back home. Food and Culture!

It was an amazing experience! A real mix of culture and food traditions in Mexico. From the antojitos to the main dish, the experience blended the foods with the culture that maintains them. We had a great time, and would go again, for sure!

If you pick one thing, do this!! 10 stars

If I could leave 10 stars, I would!! We had such a fantastic time with Francisco learning about the history and making authentic food. Liliana and Chef were fantastic - we would repeat the experience any time we are back in Playa del Carmen. We have already recommended to our friend and family. If you do nothing else, book this trip!!

Superb Experience

This was absolutely amazing experience. I was able to have the hands on making traditional Mexican dishes. The host, Francisco, always explained everything in a very nice and interesting way. He also has 2 assistants who are helping with preparing other dishes and components for the actual cooking. At the end I was able to try the food with the team. It really makes you feel like you are part of the family. Also, if you want, they will pack the leftover for you.

Would recommend to everyone

Had a wonderful time, made new friends. The food was amazing. Received lots of Mexican history and information. Did the cooking in a restaurant kitchen and the helpers did a great job keeping everything cleaned up and a watchful eye to make sure we were doing it right. In a fun way.
