Discover the secrets of truffle hunting among the enchanting hills of San Gimignano, one of the most fascinating gems of Tuscany. This exclusive experience will allow you to immerse yourself in the typical Tuscan landscape, accompanied by me, an expert truffle hunter for 3 generations, and my faithful dogs. During the excursion, you will learn the ancient truffle hunting techniques passed down by my family, and you will learn more about this rare and precious ingredient, typical of Tuscan cuisine. You will walk with me and my dogs in the woods, and this is the most fascinating part of the route, where you can see my dogs in action! While we will only perceive the scent of the woods, my dogs will be able to sniff the hidden aroma of truffles, and give us this precious ingredient that you will be able to savor in the most authentic way. At the end of the Tour you will receive very fresh truffles, including those just found, and instructions on how to preserve and cook them.

Discover the charm of Tuscany through a unique truffle hunting adventure. Immersed in the picturesque and uncontaminated woods, you will be guided by me and my dogs, in the search for this precious culinary treasure. During the hunt, you will learn the secrets of the local tradition, discovering how and where truffles grow, as well as how dogs are trained to find them. The walk in the woods will not only allow you to get in touch with nature, but also to experience the emotion of searching for one of the most sought-after gastronomic products in the world. At the end of the hunt, each participant will receive fresh truffles to taste. You will be able to take these precious treasures home and use them as you like, adding a touch of Tuscany to your kitchen. In addition, you will have the opportunity to learn how to best preserve and use truffles, thus prolonging the gourmet experience. This experience will leave you with an unforgettable memory of the most authentic Tuscany, made of centuries-old traditions, uncontaminated nature and a warm welcome.

Great truffle experience with Domenico and his dogs

We had an excellent truffle hunt with Domenico. He was knowledgeable, relaxed, and clearly passionate about what he does. His dogs were incredible — sharp, focused, and a real joy to watch work. They found several nice truffles, and Domenico explained everything clearly along the way. The whole experience felt authentic and well-paced, not rushed or overly touristy. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and want a proper truffle outing. Domenico and his dogs made it memorable.

Get into the forest!

Domenico and his dogs were a great truffle hunting team! We enjoyed our time with them in the forest gathering truffles. We learned alot about truffles and got to take some home that we found. It was nice getting into the forest and something different that i would never be able to do at home. I recommend this tour.

If you want to get away...

If you want to get away from the hustle of the busy towns and cities, this is just the thing. A gentle walk in the woods, whilst enjoying watching the dogs busy hunting for truffles. Domenico was very informative and knowledgable. A very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours.
