You begin the tour visiting an ancient Maya city located within the jungle in Tabasco called “the archeological zone of Comalcalco”, the only city known city constructed of clay bricks. The pre-Hispanic settlement of Comalcalco sets an important commercial enclave to the region of Chontalpa, for constructing a zone of transit between the Golf Coast and Yucatan peninsula looking for connections with Central America. Afterwards we will visit the Cocoa Hacienda Called Jesus Maria “CACEP” located in the city of Comalcalco; here you will get to know the true history and elaboration of the famous chocolate along with the tree that gives life to the seeds.
