To get straight to the point, Yuki is a fantastic cooking instructor (also a lovely person) and I would highly recommend her cooking classes to anyone interested in learning to make Japanese cuisine at home!
In the ramen/gyoza class we took, Yuki walked us through the elements of the dishes we made and also highlighted what to do for different regional variations. Any questions I had (sometimes before I could ask it) she was able to answer! e.g. the purpose of different ingredients, their alternatives if you can't easily find them outside Japan, how to cook for friends with dietary requirements, etc etc.
Quick note: I recommend that you bring your appetite because 1) not only is the food you make so delicious; but 2) there's a lot of it!
By the end of the class, my partner and I felt very confident we could easily apply what we had learnt back home and cook for (and impress) ourselves, family and friends.

Really enjoyed Emi's class. My 12 year old daughter and I made udon, tempura, and gyoza. The instructions were easy to follow and Emi's communication was clear and friendly. We will be back again next time we are in Tokyo!

The cooking class was a great experience! Kaori was a great host. She picked us up at the train station and showed us around in a grocery store to see all the ingredients. Then we drove to her house, a great extra addition and atmosphere to be cooking at someone’s home in Japan. The food was truly delicious ; one of the best ramen I ever had! Great addition to your travel itinerary if you’re into food.

Our trip to Tokyo could not have better started! We, as a family of two adults and two teenagers, spent a wonderful time with Junko.
Her cooking class is private, so we were able to relax and enjoy both the cooking and conversation.
First, we got a guided tour to a local tea and Japanese confectionary shop. Then we went to a supermarket with an amazing variety of different food. At Junko’s cozy home, we not only learned how to make yummy Gyozas, Japanese omelets and Sweet mochi but had also so much fun and learned a lot about Japanese culture. In addition, we received some helpful advice for our stay in Tokyo. We highly recommend to book this cooking class with Junko on Byfood, you will definitively love it!
