I had such at great time with Yuko at Kura Cooking. I learned a great deal about Japanese cooking and enjoyed talking about food culture, Japan and sharing family stories. She is a great teacher - patient and informative. Highly recommend!

We had such a great time! I highly recommend booking. The classroom/kitchen was easy to find & not only will you eat yummy food but you will also taste all the different Japanese ingredients. it was fantastic. The host Akiko is so kind and professional, and she made vegan food for me, and she can speak English very well too. she made various food with a simple way, so i could feel Nagoya vegan feeling very well. I really appreciate, and see you next time again.

Easy going and educational experience! Our host/sensei Ms. Yuka guided us through 5 common Nagoya region dishes. She provided some educational background on origins and differences in ingredients as well as why they are used. The class was hosted at an easy to access location as well. Would recommend!

I was really impressed by this class! It is hard being vegan in Japan so it was nice to learn how many traditional dishes can easily be made vegan! Akiko is such a nice host. Very interesting to learn about all types of vegan sushi that can be made, compared to the Western World versions!

Yuko-san was very kind and sweet! She picked me up from the station herself, and drove us to her lovely house. Since I was the only one who booked the experience, we had a private lesson just the two of us :) We even prepared a dish not listed on the recipes planned. Yuko-san accommodated my requests for vegetarian recipes, as well as replying quickly to emails when needed. The whole class was in English, easy to follow and we had a wonderful conversation as we prepared the different wagashi. She even made sure to take lots of photos and later send it to me via email! This was a great experience, definitely recommend! You will also get the recipes to all the dishes you make, so you can recreate them at home! Thank you again Yuko-san for such a wonderful time!
