My friends and I enjoyed an incredible evening with Hiro on a food tour around Kyoto. He was gracious enough to accommodate two dietary restrictions for parts of our group - one pescatarian and one gluten-free in a four-person party - and picked restaurants that had plenty for all of us to enjoy. And beyond that, he was simply a lot of fun to be with and intensely knowledgeable about Kyoto, its history, and its culture. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our private food tour with Hiroshi. We ate and drank multiple delicious samples of food specialties of Kyoto. Hiroshi spoke English and answered our questions and had full knowledge of everything we tasted. He was flexible to take us to the food we were interested. We recommend! 👍🏽

I had a wonderful time tasting sushi and yakitori (and more delicious sushi) with Hiro. 100% recommend for the cozy, lively and not-super-touristy spots that we visited. Very accommodating to your preferences and dietary needs, should you have them. Would definitely do it again!

Our time with Hiro was absolutely lovely. The food he took us to eat food that was simply delicious and was able to cater to my wife who has celiac. He is very knowledgeable, and the tour after the dinner was very fun and educating. He took us to see the nicest parts of Gion which were very beautiful.He made our first day in Kyoto an absolute blast and gave us a taste for more. Would definitely recommend this, it was perfect

Hiro gave us a fabulous food experience in downtown Kyoto and informative walking tour through the Gion district. We had a great time exploring the market with Hiro! It was interesting to learn about his "day job" and he took us to several great spots, including the basement of the department store where locals buy their lunches. Only noting that we stopped at one store and were told everything should be fine for our dietary restrictions, but I checked ingredients when I got home and one sauce had beef & pork in it. We should definitely have checked and do not expect Hiro to know every ingredient in all the packaged goods in the market! Just advice to future travelers to translate everything!
