It was a great learning experience for pur group. We had wanted to learn maki sushi rolling for quite a long time and this experience fulfilled our desire. Tamae was a wonderful instructor and husband Hiroki was always there to support and coach our group. We enjoyed and appreciated their warm hospitality. It is so special when people open up their homes and hearts to share with others.

This cooking class for my fiancé’s birthday was an amazing experience! The husband greeted us with kindness and respect and welcomed us into his beautiful home. His wife was waiting and excited to teach us how to make Sushi ! The food menu was good and it included Sushi, miso soup, vegetable tempura, fresh fruit and even a small treat and a birthday candle for my fiancé’. He was appreciative & very grateful ! You get up an up close & personal cooking lesson and we loved it ! We would definitely recommend the experience at a 10/10 and encourage others to book !

I hired Bruce to provide a Samurai House Tour for my Father and Mother, visiting Fukuoka on a cruise-stopover. My greatest hope was satisfied, as my parents departed the tour and city with a great impression. They loved the experience and they hope to return. My father even recently expressed to me that some things had happened in his life and career that he couldn't wait to share with Bruce. You could say that my parents left with a fantastic impression. I owe Bruce and his team for taking such great care of my parents, and I am very, very thankful for his energy, the work he does, his passion, and his continued service in sharing the Japan he loves with the people who have yet to come to know it. Bruce is a well known, upstanding character in the Fukuoka expat community and I'll just say one big last humongous THANK YOU!!! First off thank you Hiroki and Tamae for allowing us into you beautiful home, we had good fun and the session we very informative and the food was excellent to go with it. For anyone else who's looking to book this experience: It is highly recommended, my partner and I had an exceptional time and learnt a lot. Easy to get to if your staying near an underground station and good bus links as well. Not far from Ohori park which is lovely to go through to walk off your meal afterwards.

It was a wonderful tour of a serene and scenic spot after an authentic Japanese meal. Our guide, Bruce, was extremely warm, adaptable, and engaging in conversation. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time with him.

I enjoyed taking the maki sushi class. Hiroki & Tamae is a really nice couple. I had fun cooking and chatting with them! I enjoyed eating our finished products together and shared our own cooking experience. I look forward to cook what I have learnt for my family and friends. Also to share my cooking experience with them.
