I wanted to do something special for my birthday and booked this class for me and my partner. Omg!! Best decision ever— we LOVED our class with Mieko-Sama! It was a highlight of our trip and I learned so much about wagashi and nerikiri. So beautiful and so fun. I was able to easily find the white bean paste at the store Mieko-Sama recommend. It was nice to sit down for a quiet couple of hours and learn a little about this tradition of Nerikiri. Ayumi Sensei was extremely knowledgeable and encouraged each of us during the class. All of us learned a lot and had a lot of fun while making these yummy treats!

Making the Neikiri was definitely a highlight to our amazing trip to Japan. We learned so much, not just in terms of how to make the sweets, but the entire culture and rich history surrounding them & the art of the tea ceremony. Both ladies were so lovely to chat to & so welcoming. Thank you for having us, we look forward to taking another class when we return to Tokyo.

Excellent and very interesting although not very tasty
