Good Sake, nice Izakaya

I was a little disappointed because they did not have fresh squid the night I was there. They do have frozen squid but I was not going to pay money to eat thawed squid sashimi. I ordered other dishes and all are delicious. Service is impeccable. I have to come again when they do have fresh squid.

The restaurant is a beautiful home with an incredible garden. Each dish was meticulously prepared and exceptional. Service was great. We highly recommend this restaurant.

If you're a lamb lover, it's beyond belief. Great service, great food, great atmosphere. Go there, but make sure you get a reservation, or you will be standing on the street for a long time.

The service was great, and the Agu pork had absolutely no gamey smell. It paired wonderfully with the black pepper dipping sauce. I highly recommend adding zosui (rice porridge) at the end!

This was my first time trying omakase, and Sushi Matsumoto Yokohama made it a memorable experience. The staff did their best to explain each dish in English, and I appreciated the effort. The chef worked calmly and carefully, and it was a pleasure to watch each piece come together. The restaurant was clean, and modern. I wasn't familiar with omakase etiquette going in, so a little guidance up front would have been welcome. Still, I'd recommend it to anyone curious about trying omakase for the first time.
