I highly recommend this class. It was extremely fun and cozy. The experience was relaxing and delicious. Emi is very kind and friendly. She is very good at accommodating to your tastes and all her instructions are very helpful. It really felt like you are visiting a nice aunt and cooking a nice home cook meal with her.

We took part in a private curry-making workshop in Tokyo yesterday. Emi, a Japanese instructor who speaks good English, taught us how to prepare rice, Japanese curry, and tonkatsu. The class was a lot of fun, very hands-on, and easy to follow. At the end of the session, Emi even walked with us to a supermarket and helped us choose which curry roux to buy to recreate the dish at home.

It was truly the best experience I've had in Japan. The cooking course of Katsu curry (pork cutlet curry) was very fun and delicious. It included Japanese-style curry made with dashi soup, along with tonkatsu (pork cutlet), ebi fry (fried shrimp), and potatoes. I also learned how to cook rice in a regular pot, so I plan to buy some Japanese curry roux and try making it after returning home. Ms. Morimi was very friendly, and the lesson was enjoyable. She also shared a lot about Japanese food and culture, as well as recommendations for food and sightseeing spots. There were also lessons available for sushi and tofu dishes, so I would love to try those next time I visit in Japan. I heard that there are also menus available for vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free diets. On the way back, I visited Goutoku-ji, a temple famous for its lucky cat (maneki-neko), which was also a fun experience.

It's been a unique and authentic experience. Learning to cook with Emi in a traditional Japanese setting has been a real joy. We’ve learned so much from each other, and not just about cooking. It’s a true pleasure to be able to enjoy the final result (tasty curry) from our collaborative work. Thank you Emi for being a great tutor and a nice friend! We will always remember this experience and the great time we had together.

This was a really fun experience. Emi-san was very nice and clearly explained what to do. The resulting curry was very delicious. I have also very much enjoyed the goma-ae. It is a really delicious side dish that I will include in my meals now! Totally recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys curry or would like to discover it.
