Join your host Jolandi in her kitchen to learn to cook authentic South African dishes from scratch. You will pick up tips and techniques as you help her prepare a meal that you will later enjoy together. Jolandi is a warm and friendly host and also a full-time caterer who wants to help travelers experience authentic South African and Cape Malay cuisine. Her love of food and entertaining really shows through in the care with which she treats you. Jolandi hosts along with her husband George who is a worldly wine lover and will help ensure your wine pairings are perfect. Don't miss out on this incredible experience to learn to prepare authentic South African cuisine that's not easy to find in restaurants!

Join Jolandi in her stunning countryside home surrounded by mountains, vineyards, and wineries to learn to cook authentic South African dishes from scratch. Jolandi is passionate about serving travelers authentic South African and Cape Malay cuisine. Learn South African cooking tips and techniques as you help Jolandi prepare a meal in her home kitchen. You should expect your hands-on South African cooking lesson to last about 1.5 hours. While you cook, Jolandi provides a history of the food you will be eating, for example, the origins of Bunny Chow during Apartheid. After cooking, enjoy South African dishes hard to find in restaurants over engaging conversation with Jolandi and her family. Your meal includes a wine pairing of local South African wines!

Contemporary South African food with professional chefs

Dinner/cooking with Richard and Gillian was great! Would totally recommend for any Cape Town visit! We had delightful and informative conversation and instructions. Great food and intimate setting showing daily South African life. I even learned a new cooking technique with the braai part of the meal. A dinner with Richard and Gillian is a must!!!

<p>A wonderful Experience with welcoming hosts who had certainly gone the extra mile to make the meal an interesting one which show cases South African traditional cuisine. Carefully chosen wine accompanied each course and an added bonus was a personalized recipe and information booklet on the meal and the origins of the dishes being served.</p>
