Through this once-in-a-lifetime experience available from May to October, you'll join the captain and crew on a fixed-net fishing vessel and experience a day in the life of local fishermen in Himi Bay, Toyama Prefecture. Fixed net fishing lures are set to catch fish, helping reduce collateral environmental damage. You’ll see firsthand the different methods and practices of local fishermen.
After reeling in the morning catch, you'll return to shore to watch the hustle and bustle of the Himi fish market. The cafeteria offers a fantastic seafood breakfast with the fresh catch of the day, a truly Japanese experience. Start your day with sashimi or a bowl of warm rice topped with fresh seafood. Simply delicious!
