At our Sunset Town coffee workshop, participants will dive deep into the rich traditions of Vietnamese coffee culture. The experience begins with an introduction to the origins and unique characteristics of Vietnamese coffee beans, from robusta to arabica, and their role in local traditions. Guests will then learn and practice iconic brewing methods, such as the traditional *phin* filter, creating creamy, indulgent egg coffee, and experimenting with latte art. Guided by skilled instructors, attendees will have the chance to taste different coffee styles, understand flavor profiles, and perfect their brewing techniques. Finally, they’ll craft their own personalized coffee creation to enjoy, making it a memorable experience for both coffee enthusiasts and those simply curious about this beloved beverage. Perfect for all ages, our Phu Quoc cocoa workshop offers hands-on fun with brewing, crafting creamy cocoa drinks, and tastings—an engaging family experience!

Tips and gratitudes
Join us for a unique coffee workshop in the heart of Phu Quoc, where we delve into the rich coffee culture of Vietnam through FOUR to SIX distinct and delicious styles: 1. Black Coffee: Vietnamese black coffee is typically brewed using a "phin" filter, a small metal drip filter that produces a strong and concentrated coffee. 2. Brown Coffee: It's one of the most popular variations of Vietnamese coffee. The condensed milk adds a creamy and sweet contrast to the strong and bitter coffee. 3. Egg Coffee: This creamy, dessert-like drink is a must-try for every coffee lover, offering a rich, custard-like experience that blends beautifully with the bitterness of robusta coffee. 4. White Coffee: Unlike its Western counterpart, Vietnamese White Coffee offers a balance between robusta’s bold bitterness and the sweetness of condensed milk. 5. Coconut Coffee: Dive into the tropical flavors of Coconut Coffee, a refreshing blend of strong black coffee and creamy coconut milk. 6. Salt Coffee: A lesser-known but rising star in Vietnamese coffee culture, Salt Coffee blends sea salt with milk foam and coffee for a surprisingly harmonious mix of sweet, salty, and bitter flavors.

A Fun Family Activity

A great learning experience was had by all—even for the non-coffee enthusiasts. The class was engaging, informative, and thoughtfully presented. It offered a deeper appreciation for the process, craftsmanship, and nuances behind Vietnamese coffees, while also encouraging curiosity and discussion. Overall, it was an enjoyable and enriching experience For us all!

Fun coffee making

Fun session that served us very well, on a wet day, as an education on Vietnamese coffee making. We all felt a bit sick after trying all 6 coffees as they are all (except for the black coffee) very sweet …. But you don’t need to drink them all!!

Incredible coffee workshop

What an incredible coffee workshop! The vibrant atmosphere and passionate instructor blew me away, sharing fascinating coffee insights. Hands-on brewing was pure magic—pour-over perfection! Wish it was longer, but it’s a must-do for coffee lovers.

Excellent

I was not familiar with Vietnamese coffee before the experience but it was amazing and fun to learn how to make different types of coffee. Claire was a great teacher and I was entertained throughout the entire time being there! I would highly recommend to any other tourists travelling to Hanoi.

A MUST TRY IN HANOI!

GREAT EXPERIENCE — for a big group of 11, combining both coffee fans and not so much, we had such a great, engaging time with our teacher/guide Claire from Gao Cafe. We had so much fun and the coffee was delicious.
