Knossos Visit, Cooking Class & Cretan Lunch (Transfer Included)

Right after you visit the archaeological site of Knossos Palace, you will be driven to one of the most visited villages on the island of Crete. Our local cook, Aggeliki, will be there waiting for you and offer you coffee, tea, or even a glass of wine before she starts the cooking demonstration for you. The cooking class will consist of the presentation and preparation of five different local recipes. As it is a private workshop, you will take your position in front of your working bench following the head cook's instructions. The recipes that you will get your hands on to prepare are the following: A. Traditional “Cretan Dakos”. B. Traditional “dolmades” from vine leaves. C. “Tzatziki” D. Staffed tomatoes and peppers (Gemista) E. Zucchini frites (Kolokithokeftedes) Please feel free to participate, get your hands dirty, and get right into the recipe. At the end of the cooking class, you will enjoy the fruits of your labor, a home-cooked meal accompanied by plenty of white, rose, or red wine from a local winery.
