Good to Know

You'll learn new cooking techniques that can easily be repeated at home. I was fortunate enough to grow up among the best cooks, my grandmother and my mother. Let the food be our language. I will introduce you how the ingredients can be made at home. In the past times people didn't have many ingredients and used their skills to make the best possible meal. The most important thing in Macedonian cuisine is that the dishes are made from only a few ingredients and you must use your imagination to make the testiest dish from the available products. Vegetarians are welcomed. Please let me know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions.

Learn the secrets of Macedonian cuisine, with this unique experience in our cozy village house. You will have an opportunity to put your hands into the flour and prepare the specialties named burek and komat, by kneading the dough. The class is completely hands-on and begins with the introduction of the ingredients over a glass of coffee or wine. Also, the participants will prepare the main meal which is pepper with a fill of meat. More Than a Cooking Class — A Wonderful Family Experience

Little did we know just how charming and fun this experience would be. The class is hosted a few kilometers outside of Ohrid in a beautiful family home surrounded by fruit trees and greenery, and the setting could not have been more peaceful. Delicious authentic food

We were welcomed in to Sonja’s lovely rustic home and knew we were going to experience something special. We made traditional Macedonian food the way she had been taught by her grandmother and then got to share it for dinner! It was all so delicious and authentic! Sonja and her husband were very hospitable and went above and beyond! We can’t recommend this cooking class enough.

Simply great, definitely do it!

The cooking class with Sonja was an absolutely fantastic experience. Communication with Sonja beforehand was excellent and she picked us up on time at our accommodation. We were 4 participants and had a lot of fun. We prepared tavče gravče, komat, and three delicious dips. There was bread with it. Everything was incredibly delicious. Fantastic experience!

It was truly a fantastic experience. Absolutely the most beautiful and authentic thing we did during our stay in Ohrid. Sonia and her husband welcomed us from the very first moment in a truly genuine and joyful way. It was nice to share food with them and be able to have a chat. Fun and educational workshop

Very nice experience with a very nice couple. The workshop teaches you the tricks of Macedonian cuisine. You get a lot of background information with it which I found very interesting. We especially loved the bread dips and will definitely make them at home. That is also one of Sonja's goals: to teach you something you can easily apply at home.
