Rust Wine
The Rust Wine Company is a vineyard with deep roots and a passion for renewal. Their wines are crafted from five outstanding vineyards in the Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys, each reflecting the unique character of the land. Our home vineyard, South Rock, boasts a history dating back to 1963 and produces some of BC’s only Zinfandel, along with other fine varietals. The vineyard sits at the southern tip of the Golden Mile Bench, offering stunning views and a rich history, including a heritage house with a living desert roof. Silver Sage Winery
Anna and Victor Manola, with their deep winemaking roots from Romania, brought their passion to the Okanagan 32 years ago. Victor, seasoned from managing a 25-hectare vineyard, and Anna, who learned the art of unique fruit wines from her father who ran a massive 600-hectare vineyard, combined their expertise to create Silver Sage. Their dream came true in 1996 when they bought 25 acres near Oliver, BC, and transformed it into a thriving vineyard. Though Victor’s tragic passing in 2002 was a heavy blow, Anna and the family have kept the dream alive, blending their rich heritage with new winemaking adventures. Here's The Thing Vineyards
Jamie and Leah McDowell, who took a leap from dinner table dreams to vineyard reality in the fall of 2016. Their plan was simple: pick a prime spot, keep things small, and sell every bottle to eager guests. Turns out, it wasn’t quite that easy! With the help of a savvy consultant, they discovered the perfect vineyard and retail spot, but the journey from dream to reality was full of hard work, from toasty sunshine to bone-chilling cold. Jamie, a detail-oriented ex-distribution manager, handles the vineyard while Leah, a former VQA store owner, brings her wine-savvy skills and bubbly personality to the tasting room. Their kids, Rhys and Laken, have their own careers, but the real star is Cedar, their mischievous whoodle who’s living the dream with endless sticks and acres to run on.
