What makes Tony's home special are the walls adorned with original art nouveau paintings from 1912. It might be the only home in the region with original paintings from handmade stencils on wood. Next, join Tony in his kitchen for your Puerto Rican cooking class with a modern twist on traditional Puerto Rican cuisine. You will learn to cook three seasonal Puerto Rican dishes with locally sourced ingredients from Tony's garden or the local markets. Some of the dishes you might learn to cook are rice fritters with a creative guava sauce, a traditional stew or chayote escabeche, a local squash packed with antioxidants marinated in citrus and olive oil. Please note this is only a sample menu - Tony likes to cook based on what's fresh in the market and is happy to customize a menu for you. After cooking, enjoy your meal on the terrace with a view of the garden (weather permitting) or at the main dining area with a glass of sangria or beer. Please note that your meal may be supplemented with additional dishes that Tony has prepared in advance.
