Stroll through stalls brimming with fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers at Medellín's local market “La Minorista”- an authentic hidden treasure for food-loving travelers that want to go more local. It is the most traditional farmers market within the city center and has an enormous economic relevance to the local people living on the Andean hillsides of the city. It offers almost everything one can imagine ranging from food to the so-called “yerbateros” - traditional healers selling dried herbs and other plant-based essences.
You experience a variety of delicious tropical fruits and sample several highlights of local street food before enjoying an exclusive lunch and the traditional family-run restaurant in the middle of the market area.
