Experience Details

Experience the Cycladic architecture at a traditional and unspoiled settlement, the farm life and the island’s unique agriculture while tasting its gastronomy and wine produce.Walk along stone pathways and discover the Canaves cellars. Taste four local wine varieties at Canava Gavalas, accompanied with local delicacies like Greek cheese and barley rusks. Try the delicious local cherry tomato, the fava beans, the white and green eggplants & capers. Learn and taste the  local cuisine while getting hands-on knowledge and enjoying the blissful rural life!

What You’ll Experience

Megalochori is a beautiful traditional village and consists the heart of agriculture production of Santorini. We will walk through the “kadounia”, stone pathways forming a maze, where you can feel the authentic island vibe of the island, away from the tourist masses. There we will spot the “Canaves” traditional wine cellars where the wine is pressed and stored.
