This tour was designed to be more than your typical sightseeing tour, its purpose is to create visual and gastronomic memories coupled with the thrill of riding one of our customized Land Rovers. In order to fully enjoy this tour, which is suitable for all ages, we will be traveling in a customized 4×4 Land Rover for extra comfort and safety while driving on dirt roads and to fully enjoy what this region has to offer at the panorama level: its local and natural richness. Sintra is a quaint little village with beautiful cobbled streets, filled with traditional shops and cafés, where you can visit the most beautiful historical monuments. Classified as a World Heritage Cultural Landscape in 1995, the village keeps the colors and architecture from the time of the Portuguese monarchy, when it was commonly used as a summer vacation place. In this unique place full of history, you can also taste traditional sweets like the Travesseiros and Queijadas. Here you will enjoy the very best of the local production with a tasting of tapas, cheese and wines included in the tour, with an amazing view of the Sintra National Palace. Sintra National Palace

Initially used as a Moorish governor's residence, King Afonso Henriques used it as his own residence after conquering Sintra and Lisbon in the mid-12th century. The blend of Gothic, Manueline, Moorish, and Mudéjar styles in the present palace is mainly the result of building campaigns during different centuries. It’s one of the most iconic landmarks in Sintra, with the two imponent chimneys from the kitchen being able to be seen from distances far away. This is the main palace located in the historical center that you can opt to visit while you are in Sintra village. Quinta da Regaleira (Pass By)

Probably the most mysterious and intriguing monument of Sintra, this property consists of a romantic palace and chapel with Neo-Manueline architecture and a luxurious park that features lakes, grottoes, wells, fountains, and a vast array of exquisite constructions. Known as "The Palace of Monteiro the Millionaire", based on the nickname of its best-known former owner, António Augusto Carvalho Monteiro, the estate has a full set of enigmatic buildings with a constant presence of symbols related to alchemy, Masonry, the Knights Templar, and the Rosicrucians. Azenhas do Mar

The uniqueness of a white and blue village over the cliffs right at the sea. This remarkable landscape, often used af movie set, is one of the most memorable images around Sintra municipality. Praia das Macas (Pass By)

The “apples” beach, allegedly named from the rotten fruits falling down from farms nearby to the Colares stream, ending near the ocean at the sandy beach. Praia Grande (Pass By)

With a suggestive name, this is a large sandy beach where regularly surf and bodyboard competitions are hosted. Here you can find one of the biggest saltwater pools in Europe with over 100 meters in length. In the southern part, dinosaur fossils can be found on the Beach's cliff with an easily identifiable sequence of eleven dinosaur footsteps. A colorful little town, close to the ocean, which name has an Arabic origin, possibly meaning “the mosque” although there are no testimonies of one having been around.
