This charming village is widely known as the "ideal" city of the Renaissance, created by the great humanist Enea Silvio Piccolomini, who later became Pope Pius II. Apart from its historical and artistic importance, is also the town of the cheese, the famous pecorino di Pienza for which customers will kindly be guided to experience a little tasting!
