You’ll get to enjoy a tour in the fields, pick fresh veggies from the garden and feel closer to nature than ever (available from March to October). And if you visit it in June, you can even participate in the wheat harvesting in the wheat fields! Enjoy an authentic Greek cooking class with a local Greek mum, and learn how to make embroidered bread from scratch or kolokythopita (courgette or pumpkin pie), trachanokeftedes (fermented milk pasta balls), or other local food and delights. What could be better than enjoying authentic Mediterranean cuisine prepared by your own two hands? You'll have lunch at the restaurant, where you will feast on everything you made along with local products from the Arcadian workshop & other Greek local producers accompanied with Greek wine! A memorable, private and personalized experience exclusively for you and your beloved ones, because, once booked for the day no other guests are added in the experience!

The culinary experience is provided upon request and depending on availability. In case there is no availability for the day you are interested, it can be offered the next available date or choose another similar available experience after coordination.
Transportation is needed to visit the Arcadian workshop in Arcadia which is located 1 hour away from Kalamata. Please inform us if you have your own vehicle. In other case, we can arrange it with our partners at an extra cost.
In order to organize your experience in the best way, the booking and the full payment must be made the latest 3 days before.
Availability: Monday to Sunday, excluding Holy Friday - Easter Tuesday & Greek official holidays.
The culinary experience may be combined with accommodation in a traditional 3 level-stone villa in the village upon request and at an extra charge. The booking must be completed the latest 15-20 days before and includes local breakfast.
The Agrotourism unit is also suitable for School groups and team building events.

A 6-hour gastronomic experience that includes a tour of the traditional food preparation area, the cookware museum, the library and the small village. Experience the best that Greek nature has to offer, learn some of the secrets of the Greek cuisine and feast on traditional local products! You will visit an Agrotourism unit and an Arcadian workshop in a small village, located 70km (45 mi) from Kalamata in the heart of mountainous Arcadia region in Peloponnese. The workshop produces traditional products and is inspired by the Arcadian nature. Built on 2.5 acres of land, the place offers stunning views towards Mt. Lykaio and the village of Karytaina. The two-storey stone-built establishment also houses a library with over 650 cookbooks, where you can discover age-old local recipes; a Cookware Museum, showcasing items used by Greek housewives in villages as far back as the beginning of the 1900s; and a restaurant that serves local delicacies. You’ll participate in a guided tour of the Arcadian workshop, including the traditional food preparation area, the Cookware Museum and the library.

Hospitality and delicious food!

Laconia is one of my favourite regions to travel! During our tour, Maria told us about the exciting and very interesting history of the Greek Gastronomy. Visiting the eco-touristic farm was something more than I expected! Maria, Fragkiskos and Marilena were absolutely professionals! Very friendly, they explained us about the ingredients of the recipe and revealed us some secrets about how to cook the best gemista (stuffed peppers and tomatoes)!! It had so much fun! A..delicious authentic experience!

I love cooking and travelling in different countries for new tastes. This experience was one of my best! The cooking lesson with the local ladies had been for me a new great experience and sure I will come again to taste the Kalamata olives and trahana (a fermented milk pasta that greek local women make in the summer!). Maria, our tour guide was amazing and so friendly with us! I recommended it for anyone who travels to Arcadia and wants to taste authentic Greek food!!

Gastronomy tour

All was awesome! The local people, our enthusiastic local guide Maria, who answered all our questions and kept our interest alive in the whole tour!! The women in the workshop were very friendly and with them we prepared delicious food!! Thank you all for everything!

19th century cook books!!!

I would recommend it without any doubt! The Cookware Museum with its old books of 19th century (!) really impressed me! The two storey stone establishment was one of the most beautiful libraries I have ever visited! Maria told us about the local gastronomy of Arcadia and customs of the area, very friendly and so so nice!
