The 3+ acres of The French Laundry Gardens were initially cultivated by then-owners Sally and Don Schmidt in the late 1970s. Under Chef Thomas Keller's ownership since 1994, this dynamic plot has undergone continuous evolution day by day, week by week, and year by year. While access to this traditional dessert course site has become a bit more challenging lately, we do share the wonderful story of the garden and the restaurant's evolution during your visit.
