This was one of the coolest experiences I have ever had! I happened to meet the owner on Threads while posting about Japan, and learned she had a Ramen experience that took place at both her brother’s 3rd generation ramen factory and her house for dinner. It was a truly wonderful afternoon and evening. The tour of the workshop was very interesting. The cooking session with Akiko at the end was the perfect way to wrap things up. We were given a very warm welcome at her home.
It was the absolute highlight of our entire vacation.

This experience was an absolute highlight on our Japan trip and is a memory we will fondly look back on. It was such a lovely day with Aikiko and her brother! We were made to feel so very welcome, every question was answered, and we even got to have a go at making the noodles ourselves. Visiting Aikiko at home was an unforgettable experience. Cooking the meal was great fun and it tasted absolutely delicious!
I can’t recommend the ramen ‘tour’ highly enough – it’s an experience you’ll never forget!

This experience felt so personal and heartwarming. Akiko-san and her brother Taka-san show you their family factory rich in history and traditions. You then get to cook a few of Akiko's grandmother's recipes. I felt really lucky to be there and get to live this. I got to taste all the different kinds of noodles the factory made! It was incredible. The whole family was nice. It was felt so nice to have dinner, chat and laugh. Really made my time in Japan special.
