We enjoyed our private food tour with Hiroshi. We ate and drank multiple delicious samples of food specialties of Kyoto. Hiroshi spoke English and answered our questions and had full knowledge of everything we tasted. He was flexible to take us to the food we were interested. We recommend! 👍🏽

This was an incredible experience and a highlight of my trip! David went above and beyond to accommodate my agricultural interests and make the experience as fulfilling as possible. The area is so peaceful and beautiful to see and try wasabi, I would recommend to anyone!

Hiroshi was a great guide! The tour was informative and he took our preferences and dietary restrictions into account. If your looking to avoid the tourist traps in Nishiki market and still try the local cuisine, book this tour!

This was a wonderful experience. The opportunity to go behind the scenes of a place like Toyosu, where normal tourists cannot go and see the fish is awesome. Paco and Alessio were wonderful, knowledgeable, and more than willing to answer any questions we had. The meal after was phenomenal fresh and made the fish the star of the show. Highly recommend

Unforgettable night of yatai hopping with Bruce! ★★★★★ Our yatai food hopping tour was a highlight of our time in Fukuoka. Our guide Bruce was fantastic: relaxed, knowledgeable and clearly well connected with the stall owners. We started at a yatai run by a chef who's been cooking there with his wife for 35 years, now joined by their son. We had a comforting winter dashi broth, gooey bacon-wrapped rice cakes grilled to perfection (I could have eaten twenty), and noodles tossed on the grill plate and topped with bonito flakes. At our second stall we had our first ramen in Japan, lighter and cleaner than at home, paired with a citrus and honey beer, plus pork belly and chicken yakitori, a surprisingly tender, spicy beef tendon stew and hand-made gyoza. We even ended up chatting with some lovely locals sitting across from us. Bruce thought of everything, finishing the night by dropping us at the Ritz-Carlton rooftop bar and arranging our taxi home. Great food, great company and a real taste of local life. Highly recommend!

We loved our Konbini hacks tour with Ryo! He was brilliant with the kids and introduced this side of Japanese food culture so well. The best tour we took all trip!

We had such a great evening with Bruce! He was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us so much interesting information throughout the tour, while also sharing his own experiences and stories, which made everything feel much more personal. Bruce took us to three different Yatai spots, explaining the places, the food, and the culture along the way. The food he chose for us was amazing, and we really enjoyed every stop. We could have happily continued to more places, but unfortunately we weren’t feeling well enough to keep going. Beyond his knowledge, Bruce is simply a genuinely nice and fun person to spend an evening with. The whole experience felt relaxed, friendly, and authentic. We would absolutely recommend Bruce to anyone looking for a Yatai tour specialist in Fukuoka. We had a fantastic time and would happily come back for a follow-up tour with him next time!

Great tour!

The tour was great and our guide Sam was kind and knowledgable about the area. While we were aware of many of the dishes we tried, it was nice to get the history and backstory of the various items. Highly recommend for your first night in Osaka!
