Description
This matcha set is filled with specially curated materials to enjoy the beauty of Japanese tea making in the comfort of your own home. Japanese Matcha has impressive health benefits as it is packed with vitamins (C, E, and A) and other nutrients known for their antioxidant effects. Included are: Organic matcha (30g), a matcha bowl, and a Chasen tea whisk (11cm). The Chasen tea whisk was carefully handcrafted by Tanimura-san, and pairs perfectly with the included matcha bowl. The bowl is a beautiful golden color and comes decorated with glittering crystals. This type of pottery is called Arita-yaki and was made in Arita in Saga Prefecture. Arita-yaki has existed for fourteen generations and is the oldest porcelain in Japan. As each piece is handmade, you will find slight variations between bowls that make each one unique.

Producer
Uji Matcha Hayashi
Kyoto Prefecture
Hayashi-san is a fifth-generation tea farmer who cultivates all of his products organically. Even though the matcha boom has led to a rapid increase in demand for "tencha" tea, (the raw material for matcha), Hayashi-san has stuck to organic tea farming. Although more difficult to master and much more time-consuming, it is this natural method that gives his tea its high quality. Hayashi-san's younger brother and father are also in the tea industry and have their own fields. The three men all work with determination to produce quality products worthy of the brand's name. Hayashi-san comes from Wazuka Town in Kyoto Prefecture, an area that is known for being the center of high-grade sencha green tea production.
