With us, you can learn more about Guatemalan food, culture, traditions and everyday life. We offer custom made cooking classes, evening street food tours and off-the-grid tours around the city of Antigua. With us, you will taste the true and traditional flavors of Guatemala. We are locals. We support the locals. We love what we do. Our mission is to pass our passion to our guests and make them feel part of our Guatemalan family.

At Cuscun we don’t just cook. We also provide authentic experiences. For those looking to taste the true and traditional flavors of Guatemala, this is the place to visit. During our cooking class you will learn about Guatemalan food and cooking techniques along with culture and a look into everyday life in the village of Jocotenango. Alongside our chef Carolina and sous chef Iris you will prepare a typical Guatemalan food. You will have the option to choose from different well-known Guatemalan dishes, such as Pepián, Jocón, Kak'ik, Subanik, Tamales, Chiles Rellenos and typical Guatemalan desserts. All the dishes can also be vegetarian. Once we are done with cooking, we will taste your dishes either on our rooftop terrace with a spectacular view of the volcano Agua or in a colonial indoor dining room.

All of our tours begin and end with an authentic experience by traveling in a pickup truck or a chicken bus. We are happy to arrange a pick up at your hotel, hostel or family accommodation in downtown Antigua.

We had an amazing experience taking this cooking class in Antigua Guatemala! There were four of us, and we all had a great time learning how to make traditional Guatemalan food. The experience was fun, hands-on, and a great way to learn more about the local culture and cuisine. Everything was well organized, and the atmosphere made us feel welcome from the beginning. The best meal in Guatemala!

We had a fantastic experience learning to cook a wide variety of authentic Guatemalan dishes with Nelly, Heidi and Chefs Norma and Kevin. Whether or not you love cooking, this is a fun, low-pressure way to learn not only about the local food but the beautiful Guatemalan culture from which it originates. Set on a rooftop with big views of the surrounding valley, the class culminates in a relaxed and most delicious meal. A wonderful value and a lasting memory. Loved it!
