This culinary experience is one of a kind! It’s non touristy and allows you to indulge in the Senegalese culture, experiencing authentic interactions with the locals,while creating a delicious dish and drinks with exotic flavors. If you are a solo traveler and book this cooking experience the minimum guests required to join the group is 3,if we have other guests that book on the same date as yours then there’s going to be availability,but if there’s less than 3 people that book on your date we will have to amend your dates or you will have to cancel.

This culinary experience will teach you how to cook like a local.Our experienced cooks will show you how to cook the main staple dish of Senegal,Jollof Rice With Fish and for the Vegan lovers Vegan Jollof Rice. Fish will be used to prepare the Jollof Rice,with vegetables ie(Carrots,Eggplant,Okra,Spinach,& Cabbage). For the Vegans it will be made with the same vegetables,excluding the fish.Water and Bissap “Sorrel Juice” is provided to solo travelers and groups. It’s also important that you Let us know if you would like an English speaking host or a French speaking host. It’s also important to know that you will be signing a food waiver form,since you are doing 100% of the cooking,but the cook will be there to guide you step by step in the process.

Perfect Group Event!

For a business team building experience, I booked an amazing cooking class with Dakar Jollof! To start, I made all the arrangements via WhatsApp from the USA. It was perfect!! I worked directly with Naima, owner of Dakar Jollof, to set up our cooking adventure and she made everything so easy. We had 9 cooks (one was ill the day of the class), which was several more cooks than their normal cooking class accommodates, our event needed to happen outside of Dakar Jollof's normal business hours, and ...daha fazla oku

Highly recommend

We had such a great time in this cooking class. It was such a great opportunity to meet new people, experience a new culture, and try new foods. What we really walked away with was a huge amount of respect for the women in Senegal, who spend their time cooking in kitchens, whether in restaurants or for their families. It’s hard work, but very rewarding! We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and would happily book again and would love to try another dish. You will walk away with lots of leftovers...daha fazla oku

Amazing cooking and friendly atmosphere

The experience was amazing. I joined a group of 6 people and everybody has the full experience of the process of makingThieboudienne / jollof rice under the guide of the staff. The process was very smooth and people are very friendly. Environment was nice and the staff made a good arrangement for everything. The fee was a bit high at first, but adding translation and seeing the amount of food we got and ended up taking home, this is definitely worth it.
