We enjoyed our private food tour with Hiroshi. We ate and drank multiple delicious samples of food specialties of Kyoto. Hiroshi spoke English and answered our questions and had full knowledge of everything we tasted. He was flexible to take us to the food we were interested. We recommend! 👍🏽

Hiroshi was a great guide! The tour was informative and he took our preferences and dietary restrictions into account. If your looking to avoid the tourist traps in Nishiki market and still try the local cuisine, book this tour!

I had a wonderful time tasting sushi and yakitori (and more delicious sushi) with Hiro. 100% recommend for the cozy, lively and not-super-touristy spots that we visited. Very accommodating to your preferences and dietary needs, should you have them. Would definitely do it again!

Our time with Hiro was absolutely lovely. The food he took us to eat food that was simply delicious and was able to cater to my wife who has celiac. He is very knowledgeable, and the tour after the dinner was very fun and educating. He took us to see the nicest parts of Gion which were very beautiful.He made our first day in Kyoto an absolute blast and gave us a taste for more. Would definitely recommend this, it was perfect

We had an amazing tour with Hero and would highly recommend him.
As a UK travel agent, I'm always looking for experiences that I can confidently recommend to my clients and this is definitely one of them.
Hero was knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about Kyoto. He took us to two fantastic local restaurants that we would never have found on our own, giving us a real taste of authentic Kyoto. Afterward, we enjoyed a fascinating walking tour of Gion, where Hero shared the history and culture of the area, making it come alive.
This was one of the highlights of our time in Kyoto. If you're looking for an authentic experience with a brilliant local guide, don't hesitate to book with Hero. I can't wait to recommend this tour to my future clients! PS. here's a good photographer too.

Hiro gave us a fabulous food experience in downtown Kyoto and informative walking tour through the Gion district.
The restaurants he selected for us were perfect, and met our challenging food restrictions :)
He was also a great photographer and knew the perfect locations to take the perfect photo!

We had a great time exploring the market with Hiro! It was interesting to learn about his "day job" and he took us to several great spots, including the basement of the department store where locals buy their lunches.
Only noting that we stopped at one store and were told everything should be fine for our dietary restrictions, but I checked ingredients when I got home and one sauce had beef & pork in it. We should definitely have checked and do not expect Hiro to know every ingredient in all the packaged goods in the market! Just advice to future travelers to translate everything!

We enjoyed our Kyoto food tour with Hiro. In addition to delicious food, Hiro’s local knowledge of Kyoto area, culture, and traditions made our encounter very enriching. But the most memorable experiences were the conversations over dinner. Looking forward to future visits and tours of Kyoto.

Hiroshi is a fantastic tour guide. He had a great sense of humour. We had a wonderful meal and he was very open to ordering a dish that we wanted to try out. He took several group pictures at popular tourist sites. It was a treat to have so many pictures of our tour. It was nice to have someone who is local who had detailed knowledge of Kyoto. He was very informative and we learned a lot about the Japanese culture. I would recommend Hiroshi to everyone.

Midori is a great guide with a lot of recommendations for coffee, food, shopping, etc. These recommendations also aren't limited to Kyoto either, so she is a great resource for therest of your Japan trip.
