Best way to experience the old city is with Mr. Verma.
We loved walking through the bazaars in the old city. Heritage old buildings, met the artists who make wax bangles from scratch for you, tasted the best street food ( pyaaz kachori and chai at samrat hotel) , johari bazaar ( place to shop for gems and stones, badi chaupad , hawa mahal, the market for indian ethenic and wedding wear. Great tour
Excellent tour of Jaipur heritage sites. Lal Verma is knowledgeable, gave us a detailed tour of the prominent sites and is fluent in English.

My wife and I spent a wonderful day with Lal in Jaipur visiting the Pink City and Amber Fort. He is very knowledgeable of the history and culture of Rajisthan. Lal was able to explain the history in each location and showed us the best places to take pictures. In the Winter Palace he explained how the ceiling mirrors were installed by the King to have the effect of sparkling stars at night when the oil lamps were lit.
