Bean-to-Bar Chocolate Making: Craft Your Own Vietnamese Chocolate

Immerse yourself in an authentic bean-to-bar chocolate experience in the heart of Da Lat. Guided by local chocolatiers, you'll journey through the entire traditional process—from tasting fresh cacao fruits and husking roasted beans to grinding cacao paste with a mortar and pestle. Handcraft, decorate, and package your very own customized chocolate bar to take home. This interactive, educational, and sensory-rich workshop offers a unique taste of Vietnam's local cacao culture, perfect for families, couples, and food lovers of all ages!

What You’ll Experience

The classes run for 2 hours and included: - Explanation of the pods to bars chocolate making process and history of cacao in Vietnam, how the Vietnamese make chocolate from local ingredients. - Tasting the fresh cacao pods. - Husking your own cacao beans. - Making your own cacao paste in the traditional style with a mortar. - Making your own chocolate bar from the first step to the final bar, decorating your own chocolate and to take home with you. The class is at the store of Ban Cacao - Vietnamese chocolate maker, we make chocolate from local cacao. Materials for making chocolate: - Fresh cacao fruits - Cacao beans - Cacao nibs - Cacao butter - Sugar - Powder milk Tools for making chocolate - Mortar - thermometer - Chocolate mold - Wrapping paper
