You will discover delicious aromas and flavors! We will meet at the central market and visit 10 different food places, which some of them have more than 100 years old. You can get to know the most experienced sellers and talk about the history of each product and the tradition behind each of them. Meanwhile, you will discover the interesting history of the central market and its hidden places. Booking this experience supports the small businesses, the local producers and the artisans that are still doing their work as it used to be done before. Vegetarian options available.

FOOD AND WINE TOUR

Our guide was Frank and he was very good, sharing stories and history. We had lots of small eats and lovely glasses of wine all inside the Mercado Alicante. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who likes food and wine.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An fantastic culinary experience in Alicante! Our food and tapas tour with Alicante Tasting Club was easily one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide, Fran, ( Francesco) was absolutely excellent. He was engaging, incredibly knowledgeable about the local gastronomy, and took us to fantastic spots.Every single stop offered a wonderful selection of authentic tapas sometimes paired with great drinks, and Fran made sure everyone felt welcome and looked after. Suitable for everyone...

Suitable for everyone whatever age . Very informative and amusing at times . Paco was an amazing guide he brought the whole group together , as a result we chatted and exchanged stories with many interesting people . Paco took us to a beautiful ceramic shop , I have tried for two days to try and find it as I wanted a few pieces . It is beautiful quality if you go do buy when you are there . Excellent-highly recommend!

German was a wonderful host who ensured we had a great tour of the many different parts and tastes of the market. His personal experiences and local knowledge enhanced the tour further and it was fascinating hearing his knowledge of the history of both the market and the city. He ensured we had the best experience possible of the market, even arranging an extra visit to another shop of local produce outside. We enjoyed many local delicacies and samples of wine too- highly recommended!

One of the best food tours we attended

To be honest a good food tour is not only about what you eat. The most important ingredient is a guide. And Fran was a real star. He navigated us during 2 hours through market a let us taste Alicante delights. The group was small so everyone could ask questions and quickly we became friends :). I recommend everyone this tour!
