The Black River got its name from the darkness of the river bed caused by thick layers of decomposing vegetation. Long excursion but worth every penny.
Let me first state that this is a long day excursion. We left our hotel at 8am and got back at 7:30pm. Our first stop was Black River falls. There were about 6 crocs and several birds. This experience was very informative. The second stop was YS Falls. This place is so beautiful. I wish we could have stayed here longer. We only stayed an hour. The final stop was the Appleton Estate. Here we were served our lunch and did the rum tasting. There was also a tour of property. Petal was our guide fo...read more

Amazing experience and so worth the money!
Nadika was our tour guide and was there from start to finish! She's the one who picked us up at our resort and took our paperwork and talked us through the various sights and history of Jamaica. She was there to make sure we were safe and even made sure our bags were secure when we went to the falls. She's not only knowledgeable about her country but also has an amazing sense of humor. I can't give her enough stars! Absolutely would recommend her and this tour to anyone who would listen.
