Maine has over 80 licensed cheesemakers, one of the largest amounts per capita of any US state! In this class, participants will be introduced to six different Maine creameries and hear the stories of the cheesemakers behind them - while sampling their delicious products!

This guided, 30-60 minute experience is a fantastic introduction to Maine's cheese landscape, history and culture. We recommend scheduling this class at the beginning of your time in Maine so you can take advantage of all you've learned during the rest of your trip. What You’ll Experience

Your guide will walk you through a snack-sized tasting menu of Maine cheeses. Learn about the styles represented, the ingredients and techniques used, the history of our state's cheese industry and the stories of the cheesemakers themselves. **Note: This activity typically takes place at a high-top table in our Tasting Room. If you require access to a standard dining-height table for this activity, please text or call us at the number listed in advance of your activity time to let us know. If we don't pick up, please leave a voicemail with your request! Additionally, this tasting may contain gluten, soy, milk, wheat, eggs, sesame and any other major allergens. Heading north on Route 1, turn left onto Old Bath Rd at the large business sign. The entrance to our parking lot will be immediately on your right after the turn. Park in our lot and head to the Tasting Room building. When you arrive, please check in with the staff at the bar.
