Delve into the heart of Honduran cuisine with an immersive cooking class that celebrates the rich cultural tapestry of Roatan. Participants will prepare traditional dishes such as 'pastelitos' and a savory stewed chicken in coconut milk, guided by experienced chefs who share insights into the local heritage. This hands-on experience takes place in a friendly atmosphere, where you not only learn to cook but also uncover the stories and flavors that embody Afro-Caribbean, Garífuna, and indigenous culinary traditions. Enjoy your creations alongside a refreshing Guifity drink, embracing the warmth of Roatan’s culinary community.

What You’ll Experience

This is a Hands-on preparation of authentic Honduran/Bay Island dishes, such as the “pastelitos,” a traditional Honduran snack, and learn step by step the process. The second meal will consist of preparing a delicious stewed chicken in coconut milk and plantains. The recipes of both meals will be available on the day of the tour and can be downloaded using a QR code available at the cooking class facilities. We will have products available for purchase, including Honduran vanilla, Guifity traditional drink, organic coffee, and spices.
