Experience Details

One of the highlights of the 3-Hour Class comes next: you'll watch, and help create, a dramatic burst of flame as we stir-fry Pad Pak Boong Fai Daeng, a fire-wok morning glory dish, served alongside golden turmeric rice. Finish the class by hand-stretching our signature Banana Roti, a Thai street-food dessert made from scratch, from dough to pan, a technique and experience found only in this class. If you'd rather not make the roti, you can choose Mango Sticky Rice instead, and if you're in a group, you can split the two desserts and share.

Whichever class you choose, you'll leave with a full meal of everything you cooked, a recipe QR code to recreate the dishes at home, and a real sense of how Thai food is actually made, not just how it's served to tourists.

Good To Know

  • Children under 5 are not able to join the class. Children aged 5–11 must be booked as a child participant and take part with a paying adult guardian at all times. Children are not able to attend without an adult.
  • We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have a companion who isn’t joining the class, Big C On Nut and the local market are just steps away, a great place to spend the time.
  • Because our kitchen space is limited, guests who have not booked the class — whether adult or child — are not able to observe the class or wait inside the venue
  • Please notify us when booking so we can prepare the right ingredients in advance Please wear comfortable clothing
  • If you have any food allergies, please inform your chef before the class begins Vegetarian options are available
  • Public transportation options are available nearby

What You’ll Experience

Learn to cook authentic Thai favorites at our cooking school in On Nut, just a 2-minute walk from the local market and about 10 minutes from BTS On Nut Station. This isn't a watered-down tourist menu. Our dishes are inspired by real Thai home cooking, local markets, and street-food traditions, made without shortcuts and without MSG. Every class begins hands-on, hand-pressing your own coconut milk and coconut cream the traditional way, before moving on to the mains. It's a slower, more traditional method than most cooking schools use, and it sets the tone for the rest of the class: everything here is made from real ingredients, prepared the way Thai home cooks actually do it. You'll enjoy an extended guided tour of the local market, exploring the stalls and ingredients used in Thai cooking, before returning to prepare a five-course menu. Start with our Seasonal Som Tam, a salad that changes with the chef's pick of the day, made with green mango, pomelo, cucumber, or papaya depending on what's freshest. Cook Pad Thai with our own house-made shrimp-head oil for a deeper, more savory flavor than the usual tourist version, and prepare Tom Kha Gai, a fragrant coconut chicken soup.
