Join a welcoming cooking experience in Cappadocia, Ürgüp, where food and culture come together at the table. Guests are welcomed in a cozy home setting with tea or coffee, before being introduced to the dish of the day, its regional roots, and the ingredients used. Together with the host, you’ll prepare the meal step by step — or simply watch if you prefer. Once ready, everyone sits together to enjoy the dishes just as they would in a Turkish household. Guests who wish can also receive the recipe to take home. Your host shares: “For us, cooking together is about more than food. It’s about warmth, stories, and connection — the way we welcome new friends into our lives.” This is an intimate glimpse into everyday Turkish hospitality, far from tourist restaurants.

AUTHENTIC AMAZING TURKISH EXPERIENCE

An amazing and authentic experience! Ayla and her husband are so kind and welcome you in their home and make you feel like family. Ayla is an amazing lady and makes everything homemade including the butter, tomato paste, and spices. She truly is amazing. She also paints beautifully! You learn so much about cooking and true Turkish culture. It's a very hands on and fun experience. We made stuffed grape leaves and eggplant, beans, a beef dish and soup. SOO DELICIOUS ! Fun time and new friends

The cooking class was great - all 100% authentic and it was fun and interesting to make the food in the home which was very nice. We did everything hands on (nothing pre-made) and learned the fine details. All was delicious and we made some good Turkish friends in the process.
