Experience Details

On this winery tour from Mexico City, travel to Querétaro, one of Mexico's most prosperous wine-growing areas. You'll spend a relaxing day away from the big city as you tour Azteca vineyards, one of Mexico’s most famous makers of sparkling wine. Learn about the wine-making process and visit an underground wine cellar. You'll then venture to Tepozotlán, where you'll visit the Colonial Religious Art Museum and the San Francisco Javier Temple.

Most vineyards in the region are found at an altitude of 6,500 feet (2,000 meters), and the most well-known winery in the region is Azteca wines. Explore their fields and wineries while discovering every secret of artisanal wine. You will learn about the entire process: from harvesting and extracting the grape juice to bottling and labeling each creation. And to top off the visit, you will enjoy an exquisite guided tasting, designed to delight your senses.

We took the tour and it was very well explained about the process and production of the different types of wine produced there, at the end we received a glass to keep with White Sparkling Wine.
