Step into the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Experience the historic village of Glamis, near Glamis Castle, and enjoy our Classic Gin Bothy Tasting. This hosted tasting includes four carefully selected seasonal serves from our award-winning Gin Bothy gin and liqueur range (2.5cl each), perfectly paired with premium mixers, ice and garnishes to enhance their distinctive flavours. Your knowledgeable host will introduce each handcrafted spirit and share the story of Gin Bothy, from our unique "Jam to Dram" journey inspired by traditional jam-making to the award-winning spirits we create today. Our seasonal tasting menu changes throughout the year, so every visit offers new flavours to discover. Before or after your tasting, explore Bothy Experience exhibition rooms to learn about the history of Gin Bothy and Scotland's bothy culture. Then browse the Bothy Larder Shop for our full range of spirits and liqueurs, Jam Bothy preserves and locally sourced Scottish produce.

Four seasonal gin and liqueur serves (each 2.5cl), served with mixers, ice and garnish for seasonal serves.
Drivers/abstainers will receive two soft drinks or tea or coffee, and a mini bottle of gin (5cl) to take home.
To add on a sharing platter please contact us 24 hours in advance of your tasting.

Four gin pours, with ice and mixer, will be served to each guest during the tasting (2.5cl measures)

Discover the flavours of Scotland during a cosy Classic Gin Bothy Tasting in the historic village of Glamis, near Glamis Castle. Relax in our rustic tasting rooms as a knowledgeable host guides you through four seasonal Gin Bothy gin and liqueur serves (2.5cl each), perfectly paired with premium mixers, ice and garnish. Learn the story behind our award-winning handcrafted spirits and our unique "Jam to Dram" journey. Our seasonal tasting menu changes throughout the year, so every visit offers new flavours to discover. After your tasting explore our exhibition rooms to learn more about Gin Bothy and Scotland's bothy culture, then browse the Bothy Larder Shop for our full range of spirits, Jam Bothy preserves and locally sourced Scottish produce. Drivers and non-drinkers are welcome, with soft drink alternatives and a 5cl Gin Bothy bottle to take home or gift. Tastings are for guests aged 18 years or older. Hosted tasting lasts approximately 60 minutes, with a further 30 minutes to allow guests to relax and finish any food or drinks. Tastings are hosted in a social setting, and guests may be seated with other visitors. Assistance dogs are welcome.

Gin extraordinaire!

A splendid lunchtime discussing the history of the Gin Bothy and exploring the finer points of four different gins :- original - savoury; raspberry - sweet & fruity; stirrup cup - gorse, apple & ginger; gunshot - a warm, mulled gin. A choice of herbs, fruits and mixers complimented the tasting along with a substantial food platter to share. Overall a very enjoyable experience!

Lovely afternoon with friends

Lovely setting with a knowledgeable and very friendly host to talk through the history and drinks prepared. Platters were delicious. Highly recommend if you’ve not been before, hope to be back soon

Amazing and lovely experience

Such an enjoyable experience. Given 4 gins, fruits and mixers and some wee snacks. Each gin spoken about then given time to taste them. Lovely and relaxed. Beautiful location and the weather was just lovely.

Classic Gin Bothy Tasting is a MUST!

This was probably the most memorable gin tastings while in Scotland. Situated close to Glamis Castle, this building was once the former village stables. The space is so beautiful and cozy, and we chose to add a beautiful arranged charcuterie board with local food items. Katie was our tasting guide and did an amazing job. A very unique experience! Highly recommend this Classic Gin Bothy Tasting!

Hidden Gem for visitors to Glamis Castle. Small niche Gin and Rum distillery in the village of Glamis. Friendly staff who know their stuff, excellent tasting experience.
