Good to Know

I am a Basque native, in love with my country, culture and gastronomy. And after be working with travelers 7 years, in 2015 I started offering artisan, unique and authentic experiences in my own. Aiming to offer the possibility to enjoy feeling and living, the true essence of the Basque Country, out of the commercial and away from the tourist masses. And this is the best experience I offer ever about the fish and the txakoli wine in our coast and probably the most pure that is offered in the city. If you don’t believe me, came on to collect the best sea food and wines of the coast and tasting picnic, cooking on the grill in the paradise. And after completing the experience, you are not satisfied. I will return you, the amount paid for it.

Cooking on the grill, to you can taste the fish and wines collected, enjoying a nice picnic in a beautiful place.

We will savour a classic appetizer of our coast, with best Txakoli wine, natural apple juice, water or everything.

Breakfast

Orange juice, the best croissant ever and coffee, in the restaurant of my favorite chef, located right in front of the beach, if we have good weather we can also breakfast outside feeling the waves

Local cooking lover (private chef)

Optional very beutiful hike for all levels, with mountain sticks available.

We will drive 45 minutes, between San Sebastian and the small villages of the Basque coast. First, we will stop for breakfast, in the bar of a famous local chef, where they make the best croissants I've ever had. After, we will reach at a beautiful fishing village and collect sea food in the port. We will learn about the life of fishermen while savoring a classic appetizer of our coast, accompanied by the best Txakoli wine. Next, we will approach the Txakoli wineries located on the slopes of the coast, to collect the best wines and learn about its particularities. Then, you will have the option to enjoy with a spectacular walk, through the geo-park of the Basque coast. Finishing the walk, in the place where I will wait you, cooking on the grill, to you can taste the fish and wines collected, enjoying a nice picnic in a beautiful place.

Authentic basque country experience with a lovely and knowledgeable local

This was a fantastic trip. We had an incredible experience with Julen. He did a wonderful job showing us some lovely spots along the coast, including a nice walk, coffee spot, seafood farm, and vineyard. The market was fun and the cooking experience was delightful. We ate and drank very well. We really appreciated Julen's knowledge and commitment to sharing his homeland. The experience reflects the amazing food, produce, wine, and culture of the region.

The best tour to sign up for in this area!

Jullian is the best guide I have ever experienced. He is warm, funny, flexible, and knowledgeable about the local area and customs. The tour lasted all day and was worth every penny. I will book this tour again if I ever return to the area. Jullian has many stories and loves to share his knowledge of the area, food, and scenic spots.

Core Memory from our monthlong European holiday!

Julen is an amazing guide and knows all the rich history of the Basque Country. My partner and I were looking for an excursion/day trip in the Basque Country that centered around food, wine, meeting locals, and learning about the life of the folks that live in this beautiful area, and that’s what Julen delivered, plus more! Mundiala

Solamente tienes que imaginarte que quieres hacer que Aupa Hi te lo haga realidad. Pasamos un día en la costa vizcaína (paseo en barca por Urdaibai, visita y comida en una bodega de txakoli, Reposo en Gaztelugatxe, ….) realmente maravilloso. Eskerrik asko danagatik, Julen
