Unlike city-based classes, our workshop takes place right inside a traditional wooden house in Tả Van Village, surrounded by rice fields and the daily rhythm of local life. It’s not just a cooking class — it’s an immersion into rural Vietnamese culture. You’ll learn directly from ethnic minority hosts who cook these dishes every day for their families. Their warmth and knowledge offer a truly personal and meaningful experience. This is more than just cooking — it’s a chance to hear stories, share laughs, and connect across cultures through one of the most powerful tools we have: food.

Amazing experience to learn more about Hmong cooking and culture

Had an amazing time at the cooking class! The teacher spent time explaining why certain ingredients were used and the cultural importance of them to Hmong people. He was very patient and helped to make the dishes. His english was excellent and we had really interesting conversations about the local area and culture - super interesting to hear from a Hmong perspective. The food was also so delicious - the best spring rolls I’ve ever had!
