With the help of your hosts, you’ll discover the unique flavors of local Cretan cuisine while learning about traditional village life. During this hands-on cooking class, you’ll visit the family garden, pick fresh seasonal vegetables, and prepare classic Cretan dishes. At the end, enjoy a communal meal featuring homemade wine, local raki (tsikoudia), and traditional desserts.

"We welcome you into our home to walk through our garden, gather fresh vegetables, fill the kitchen with rich aromas, enjoy local appetizers with homemade barrel wine, raki, or fresh local juices, and share a feast together—just like we do with our own family. Simple, generous, and straight from the heart. Experience authentic Cretan hospitality in an intimate private group (2–12 guests). Your hosts—Filippa, Kostas, and Richard—welcome you to our Home in Chania to share our lifestyle and culinary traditions. Enjoy a local welcome drink or juice, prep our slow-cooked main dish, and place it in the oven. Next, walk through our garden to smell local herbs and harvest fresh produce. Back in the kitchen, pause for a break with traditional appetizers, barrel wine, raki, and fresh juices. Then prep the remaining recipes: knead dough for kalitsounia, make fresh tzatziki, and fry potatoes over an open fire. Finally, sit around a communal table to enjoy your home-cooked feast with wine, raki, juices, and homemade Cretan desserts!"**
