Experience Details

In the early morning, we'll jog around the ancient city walls of the Forbidden City, which has over 600 years of history, and take photos at the famous corner towers. After an invigorating 8-kilometer run (distance and pace can be adjusted to your preference), you deserve to start your day with a delicious energy boost! We'll visit a time-honored establishment with over 90 years of history to enjoy an authentic local breakfast!


1. Historical Immersion: Run around the 600-year-old Forbidden City walls through Beijing's historic streets.


2. Flexible Exercise: 8km route (two 4km laps) at 6-7 min/km pace, suitable for all running levels.


3. Local Breakfast: Enjoy traditional Beijing breakfast at a 97-year-old establishment, including authentic douzhir.

What You’ll Experience

We'll meet at Exit B of Jinyuhuton Station on Metro Line 8 at 6:30 AM. After gathering, we'll warm up while walking, then begin our run around the Forbidden City's Corner Towers for 2 laps, each approximately 4km. We'll maintain a pace of 6-7 minutes per kilometer, suitable for both beginner and intermediate runners. Of course, you're welcome to run at your own comfortable pace. Afterward, we'll regroup at the Corner Tower and head to a 97-year-old breakfast shop to savor authentic Old Beijing breakfast, experiencing the capital's unique food culture. We've also arranged an optional douzhir (fermented mung bean juice) challenge for those interested in experiencing this distinctive Beijing flavor.
