Good to Know
We are the first to offer you an AHIMA'A workshop in Moorea - you can find various culinary activities, but the Ahi Ma'a workshop is very special. We also thought about this workshop so as not to spend hours waiting for the cooking. We have scheduled 4 PM for culinary preparation, awaiting cooking, you will be in dance and percussion workshop and dinner. A warm and convivial moment of sharing. You will not regret it, we guarantee it.
Dinner
The traditional Tahitian meal, called ma'a Tahiti, is a large family feast cooked slowly for hours in an oven dug into the ground, the Ahimā'a.
In-vehicle air conditioning
We can organize a transfer from your hotel or Airbnb to our cultural space - just book it
4:30 PM participants arrival
4:30 PM the oven is on
5:00 PM preparation of dishes by group (puma cabbage menu, fafa chicken, raw fish, banana cake)
5:30 PM putting in the Tahitian baked dishes
6 PM to 7:30 PM: dance and music workshops (toere)
7:30 PM: Dinner (sharing, bringue,...)
8:30 PM: end of the evening
Drinks included: water, juice, and beer at the table
Rating: bring your favorite drinks and instruments if you are musicians (ace or amateurs).

This dish consists of raw fish marinated in lemon juice and then mixed with coconut milk.

Pua'a choux is a traditional Polynesian dish made of pork stewed with cabbage and other vegetables.

Fafa chicken is made of stewed chicken with fafa leaves (young taro leaves) and coconut milk
DESSERT
poe banana
Po'e is a sweet pudding made from fruits (banana, papaya, mango) or sometimes vegetables (pumpkin, taro, sweet potato...).
