On this exclusive wine-tasting journey, you’ll visit two boutique wineries, tour their facilities, and sample 12 exquisite wines, including indigenous Romanian varieties like Fetească Neagră, expertly paired with local cheese and charcuterie. The first stop on your boutique winery tour is Lacerta Winery, renowned for its elegant modern design, state-of-the-art facilities, and top-tier wines. Local experts will lead you through a private tour of the vineyard and wine cellars, where you'll learn about Lacerta's unique winemaking philosophy, from vine to bottle. Despite its modern approach, Lacerta is deeply rooted in tradition, with winemaking techniques that incorporate gravitational principles, minimizing the use of pumps to preserve the wine’s integrity. After the tour, indulge in a tasting of 6 exquisite wines, including Romania’s signature Fetească Neagră, paired with a selection of premium cheeses and charcuterie. Your tour continues with a visit to 1000 Chipuri Winery, a family-owned boutique blending traditional techniques with innovative wine production. Explore the estate, where your guide will share the winery’s philosophy and its dedication to fine wines. Before the second wine-tasting, you can opt for a traditional Romanian lunch, savoring authentic local flavors. The tasting includes six carefully selected wines, paired with cheese, cured meats and dried fruits. You’ll also sample a couple of wines directly from stainless steel tanks, gaining insight into the aging process. Fetească Neagră, a standout Romanian red, is a must-try, alongside Cabernet Franc and Tămâioasă Românească, often compared to dry Muscat. After an unforgettable day of wine tasting and cultural immersion, relax as you return to Bucharest.
