Please consider this when budgeting for your extra expenses on this tour.
  • In general, there are few dress restrictions in Europe and dress codes are similar to those you are used to at home. Please note though that in many churches modest dress is required; no shorts or skimpy tops are permitted.
  • Alcoholic beverages are allowed to participants age 18 or older because of the national alcohol restrictions. Participants under the age 18 are provided non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Food Allergies: Unless you suffer from multiple, combined food allergies, or unless you are a vegan, we will figure it out. Vegetarians are welcome on all tours.
  • Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health

What You’ll Experience

1

Kritsa

Known for its rich history and traditional way of life, Kritsa offers a glimpse into the past while still providing modern comforts. As you wander through the narrow streets, you’ll be captivated by the charming stone houses adorned with vibrant flowers. The village is famous for its skilled artisans, and you can explore their workshops to witness the creation of intricate embroidery and pottery. From here, you’ll take a drive out to a traditional Cretan olive oil farm where you’ll participate in an olive oil tasting session paired with some delicious local wine. Next, you’ll participate in a hands-on experience by learning the art of making the traditional Greek dolmades, one of the Greek-favourite dishes. Wrap the vine leaves stuffed with rice and then, enjoy a delicious Greek-style lunch including Cretan Dako (rusks with dressing), salad, tzatziki, and other small seasonal plates, accompanied with a glass of wine or a shot of local raki.

After an hour, the speedboat will pick you up for a fun spin around Spinalonga where you’ll have the chance to jump in for a swim.
