Flaherty winery Aconcagua blends dates to 2004, when we made two barrels each of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah from the Manzur Vineyard just outside San Felipe.

As a small, boutique winery, we have chosen to make red blends to create complexity and consistent quality by working with several different varieties.

Vina Errazuriz

Depart at 08:30 hrs from your Hotel in Santiago and drive for 1,15 hrs to Aconcagua Valley arriving to Errazuriz winery for Icon Tour and Wine tasting of 4 wines. A unique opportunity in the Aconcagua Valley and Chilean wine tourism. This tour is the gateway to the impressive world of Viña Errázuriz’s iconic wines, offering the unique possibility of tasting four world-class wines: Don Maximiano Founder's Reserve, the emblematic wine of Viña Errázuriz, accompanied by the other three high-end examples, KAI, La Cumbre, and Villa Don Maximiano, all from the best selection of the Aconcagua Valley. The tour begins at the heritage Don Maximiano Casona and its historic underground cellars built with the century-old technique of lime and stone, where we delve into the origins of Viña Errázuriz. The tour continues at our Ícono Don Maximiano winery, where the iconic wines of the winery are made, to learn about its operations marked by modernity and sustainability in its avant-garde design.

Flaherty Wines

Ed Flaherty and Jen Hoover are two Californians who arrived in Chile in 1993 to work in a harvest and then decided to settle in the Aconcagua Valley. This valley has an exceptional climate for growing grapes, producing red wines with soft tannins and intense fruit aromas. In 2004 Ed and Jen began the “Flaherty Wines” adventure as a boutique winery producing their red blends. From the first harvest of 1,200 bottles, the winery grew and managed to produce 40,000 bottles in 2015. You’ll be able to enjoy a tour of the winery and taste two of their best wines.
