Experience Details
I'm a Glasgow-born chef and I lead food tours of this wonderful-but-underrated city. I've worked in some of the city's best dining spots, cooked at Scotland's first Michelin two-star restaurant, and moonlighted in stand-up comedy. Both Glasgow and Scottish food don't get the attention they deserve, and I aim to show people another side to the city and its unique cuisine. Although my tours use food as the jumping-off point, it's not entirely about eating. We talk about Glasgow's history and its role in the British Empire, the city's rough-and-tumble culture, and even learn some Glaswegian slang. I led food tours in Cambodia for many years and am delighted to be back in my home town, sharing with visitors the city that I love.
