Hands to Dough Workshop of Tamales Oaxaqueños
Join Doña Andrea to craft four types of authentic Oaxacan tamales from scratch. Experience traditional techniques and flavors in this engaging, hands-on culinary workshop in Oaxaca.
Experience Details
From the hand of Doña Andrea, you will learn to cook one of the most emblematic dishes of Oaxaca ; the Oaxacan tamales.
From grinding corn to the perfect wrapping on your corn or banana leaf, step by step. This workshop is fully interactive. Doña Andrea will share with us her gastronomic knowledge sharing her recipe that is 100% artisanal in order that you can replicate your own Oaxacan tamales at home.
This is the only workshop where you will not only learn how to make tamales but also learn different recipes to make four different types of tamales: mole tamale; one of the most traditional tamales, salsa verde tamale, bean tamale and chepil tamale.
In the end you will enjoy the flavors you prepared, accompanied by a traditional drink. More than a workshop, it is an immersion in the tradition, history and taste of Oaxaca.
