I had an amazing experience on a food walking tour in Hanoi! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the local culture and cuisine. Every restaurant she took us to was fantastic.
What made this tour special was the personal approach. Our guide not only took us to famous places, he introduced us to his favorite vendors, told fun stories and even showed us how to eat like a real local. At the end of the tour I felt like I had experienced Hanoi in the most authentic way possible.
One of the highlights was trying bun cha, a Hanoi specially with grilled pork and rice noodles dipped in a tangy broth. The smoky flavor was incredible! And of course, we had to end with a cup of egg coffee—sweet, creamy, and unlike anything I've ever tasted before.
Exploring Hanoi's food scene on a private tour was the best decision! With a local guide leading the way, we wandered through hidden alleys and busy markets, stopping at small street vendors I would’ve never found on my own. Every dish told a story, and I loved hearing about the history behind each bite.
The guide not only explained the history of each dish, but also guided you to some hidden jewelry around the city. The food was fresh, delicious, traditional, and as a tourist, I could try things that I would not normally find. The speed was perfect, and there was plenty of time to taste the food and ask questions about Hanoi's culinary traditions.
